The big annual event will take place online from November 15 to 21, a very colourful fall, everywhere in Quebec!
Montreal, October 11, 2021 – For its 2021 edition, the organizers of La Grande Dégustation are adapting to the spirit of the times and present, along with the SAQ, En attendant La Grande Dégustation (While waiting for La Grande Dégustation). This fall, this online rendez-vous will bring together, in complete safety and with great conviviality, producers, experts and amateurs of wine, spirits and cocktails who, from home, will be able to exchange and discover, as well as order their bottles on SAQ.com, just in time for the Holidays.
3 waves of tasting across Quebec
A3 Québec and the SAQ are honouring their fall meeting with Quebec consumers. In virtual mode once more, the flagship event of wine and spirit lovers is taking place this fall. En attendant La Grande Dégustation is a week of live workshops presented from November 15 to 21. Hosted by renowned experts, these webinars will open a window onto the world’s vineyards and their producers.
In order to whet the appetite, La Grande Dégustation‘s Facebook and Instagram sharing platforms will also offer inspiring, enhanced and renewed content.
And finally, on November 18, the SAQ will release 125 products, all carefully selected by the 41 participating agencies, for purchase on SAQ.com. These products will also be featured in videos, themed photos and influencer columns.
Enjoy the experience from home with 9 live workshops
From November 15 to 21, a total of 43 products will be presented during 9 workshops. A dozen local experts will bring us closer to faraway lands. 10 regions from across the world will be honoured: Italy, France, United States, Portugal, Australia, Argentina, South Africa, Spain and Canada (Quebec), along with cocktail specials. From their homes, participants will be able to put faces to names by discussing with 48 winemakers from around the world. During friendly and informative webinars, tasters share their impressions and learn more about the history of their product of interest.
In addition, a great selection to taste
Starting Thursday, November 18, En attendant la Grande Dégustation will highlight 125 products, selected by 41 of A3 Québec’s member agencies, through the use of creative content.
In order to inspire consumers to learn more about these 125 products, La Grande Dégustation will broadcast on its sharing platforms a series of videos hosted by Quebec sommeliers. In 3 to 5 minutes, learn about Beaujolais wines, get an overview of Italy’s great appellations, discover the Loire Valley, learn how to taste whiskies, or take note of suggestions that will highlight the holidays.
Always looking to stimulate Quebec epicureans’ thirst for knowledge, La Grande Dégustation will spill its passion onto the web with blog posts containing text and images about the vineyards of Piedmont, Sicily, Veneto, Tuscany, the Rhone Valley and Burgundy.
Events on social networks will also allow online amateurs to explore the lands of Bordeaux, and discover a suggestion of bottles to open in order to celebrate the end of the year.
Additionally, photo reports will be published on social networks, in which a spotlight is aimed on several wine regions and on the tradition of “drinking together”. How is the aperitif shared in Germany, Italy or during the Holidays? One photo, one bottle, experience the atmosphere of a social ritual and discover a portion of terroir from Languedoc-Roussillon, British Columbia, Ontario or California. To watch and to drink!
10 weeks of inspiring content creation
Starting October 18 and continuing until December 16, we will have a continuous presence on social networks with weekly newsletters, regular publications, photos from here and elsewhere, and expert presentations. Always exchanging more information and always sharpening knowledge.
